The Saturn Vue Is Back as the 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

 This is a strange development to say the least. The somewhat popular but short-lived second-generation Saturn Vue is coming back to the United States as the 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport.

You’ll see it on the streets, but you won’t be able to buy one new, and you’ll probably see it at used-car dealerships over time. That’s because the Captiva Sport is coming for the sole purpose of fulfilling fleet orders, according to General Motors.

Chevrolet UK releases pricing on Camaro Coupe and Convertible

The car manufacturer says that a six-speed automatic transmission is available too but in this case the V8 engine produces 400 horses. The new Camaro fitted with the manual gearbox accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,2 seconds while the Convertible variant with the less powerful engine and the automatic transmission is 0,4 seconds slower.

According to its makers, the Tiret Coupe comes with a three year warranty, while service and warranty can be carried out at every Land Rover dealer. Arden shows Range Sport with Wing Doors

Arden, the German Jaguar- and Range Rover-tuning specialist, has revealed a new "wing door" feature to its Range Rover Sport model range to give its customers a further taste of what Arden calls "individualized customization"! The wing door system works through the use of a "specialized door hinge unit that opens the original door first to the outside, then steadily glides it upwards and gently opens it completely. A gas spring supports the opening phase and reduces unnecessary strain to a minimum. The complete mechanism is individually customized made of high quality stainless steel." For the ultimate look, combine the wing doors with Arden's AR5 bodywork kit - or go for the AR6 widened body-kit if you really wanna go over the top. Arden has a selection of 22- and 23-inch wheels available for the Range Rover Sport to complete the look. In addition to the "appearance enhancement package", Arden also offers power enhancement parts for both petrol- and diesel-engines, giving the TDV8 diesel 315 bhp and 700 Nm (516 lbs-ft) of torque. Arden's top of the range petrol V8 produces 480 bhp, making the car capable of reaching a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph). The wing door modification will set you back 19,635 euros in Germany. Hummer HB compact off-roader

 With Hummer's future seemingly in the hands of China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. Ltd, questions naturally turn to the automaker's barren product cupboard. How will Tengzhong replace Hummer's current crop of SUVs? With the news that the Chinese automaker would like to focus on more environmentally friendly models, a Romanian designer by the name of Andrus Ciprian envisions something along the lines of the compact HB concept you see above.


A Hummer wouldn't be a Hummer without significant off-road capability, and Ciprian suggests that the HB would retain a body-on-frame design in lieu of a lighter unibody, though hewn from aluminum and carbon fiber instead of steel. Under the comely concept's hood sits a biofuel-capable V6 engine. But those aren't the most interesting bits of the concept, the stance and general proportions of which would look perfect on the front of a Traxxas RTR box.

Ciprian included two separate windshield designs, one of which sees the screen sectioned into thirds with a slew of cameras relaying additional information to the pilot. Land Rover Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Limited Edition

A brand new limited edition of the Land Rover Freelander 2 was revealed at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy this past week. Scheduled to launch in early 2011, the Freelander 2 SD4 Sport SUV will be limited to the UK with 500 units being manufactured, and starting at £33,945. The managing director, Colin Green at Land Rover UK said, “The Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Limited Edition offers customers the practicality,
performance and efficiency of our best-selling compact SUV with more dramatic, sporty styling and the overall package represents good value for money.” Improving the exterior styling of the car is a discrete body kit and 19-inch alloy wheels, while the interior receives either Ebony Windsor or Ebony Napoli leather, along with a Piano Black finish on parts of the dashboard.

Similar to the Land Rover Discovery 4 Landmark Special Edition, the Freelander 2 received a new front grille in black, and the company offers these cars in either Fuji White, Santorini Black, and the all-new Firenze Red. Performance numbers are pretty standard, with a 2.2-liter four-pot diesel engine, hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver 190 horsepower. At the track it is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8.7 seconds, and the top speed was recorded at 118 mph. With the new Intelligent Power Management System (IPMS), the battery is charged while braking from the recovered kinetic energy. The Land Rover Freelander 2 SD4 Sport can also run on 10 percent biodiesel, and spits out CO2 emmisions of 185 g/km.
